When I first visited Costa Rica, I had no idea what awaited me.
I was just a girl backpacking Latin America for the very fist time, seeking adventure and cultural experiences, until I stepped into Costa Rica and I felt tears welling up in my eyes (but that’s another story).
The journey to the Arenal Volcano and La Fortuna was quite enjoyable. Traveling by bus and boat, I gradually saw the Volcano growing larger before my eyes. Until I stood at the Cerro Chato Volcano, its majesty unfolding in front of me.
Thinking and looking back, I could feel a powerful security, as if the volcano’s energy embraced me, guiding me towards the right path and assuring me that everything would be alright, preparing me to take my life by the horns.
And with this wise and deep message, my life turned upside-down for real.
Afterward, I visited the free hot springs which helped me to wash away all my doubts and fears and reconnect with my inner self. That was incredible, even tho it left me drained the next day, giving me time to reflect on everything.
